I was bored at night so I turned on the television for something fun to watch. I was skipping channels for something exciting and fun. There was nothing really fun to watch to get my attention. Right before I was about to turn off my television, I saw a commercial about saving water. The commercial was saying that we are lacking clean water and we should save water instead of wasting them. I was watching that commercial and said, “What is this commercial talking about? I thought the whole earth was filled with water.” I thought that commercial was false information. I think the people who are making commercials are not really paying attention to what is right or wrong. We have so much water in the ocean and we can use that water.
However, the truth was all different. I went online to see what the problem with clean water is. Currently right now many people are not getting access to clean water. The site stated that each year we are getting 19.5 million people infected by the bacteria from the water. Without clean water, humans will be infected with many diseases. Due to global warming and droughts, we are lacking more water each year. I was surprised to see that we are really lacking clean water. I never thought of the clean water issue until now. Since the Earth is filled with water, many people think that we have abundant amount of water. However, we should save water because the ocean water is not drinkable.
Before reading and watching about the clean water issue, I always wasted clean water by just throwing away a half full water bottle into the trash can. Also I always turned on the water for about five minutes before I shower. I always thought that water is not important because we have so much of it. This commercial got me think that water is really important and we should save what we have because water is one of the most important element of our life. We should save clean water before we run out!

Strawberries
After waking up from tiring night, I was very hungry and feeling something to fill my stomach. I looked inside the refrigerator for something good. There was nothing that can make my stomach full. In the corner top inside of the refrigerator I saw some strawberries. Red and green color attracted me with great a desire. I grabbed the bucket that had full of strawberries. I did not what to do with it. Then I remembered that my sister had used to make smoothie out of it. So I cut the top of the strawberries and put them inside of the mixer. I poured some milk inside to make the smoothie. After the mixer was mixing for about twenty seconds, I took the smoothie out of the mixer and drank it. It was very delicious. I was not full so I grabbed the rest of the strawberries and ate them.
After finishing all the strawberries on the bucket, I was thinking critically about the strawberries, “hmm… The strawberries are good but what are the benefits of it?” After thinking like that, I went on internet and looked up for the health benefits of strawberries. The site stated that strawberries have high amount of Vitamin C and phytonutrients and antioxidants. I was like confused about the phytonutrients and antioxidants. I read on and they are job is to fight radicals. Then I was more confused because I did not know what radicals were. Radicals are elements that damages cells and had many effects of cancer. After reading the journal at the website, I got to know much more about the strawberries. I did not know these small strawberries are really good to our body. I always thought that the nasty and yucky taste foods were good for your health, but I found that these tasty strawberries were good for our body too.
Since the strawberries are good for our body, I looked for many ways I can have my strawberries taste delicious. I saw you can eat it just fresh from garden after cleaning, making smoothie out of it, putting them into a salad bowl, and many more. Since small strawberries are really good for our body and delicious, we should eat a lot!

Since my sister and I were on spring break, my parents decided to have some break from the mundane life. Yesterday and the day before, I was in San Francisco with my family. We took turns on driving there and coming back to home. When I was there, I was amazed on everything that was there. It was much busier and crowded city compared to our city. We rode on the cable cars and walked along the piers.
When I was walking on the piers, I saw many stores that were selling little memorable monuments that resembled San Francisco. What caught my eyes the most were the T-shirts that had “I heart SF”. It was inside of a cube that was made of glass. It was like if the shirt was the best thing that the store had. I went into the store to see the shirt in detail. It felt like that shirt had some kind of different texture. Then one of the workers came up to me and asked if I want that shirt. I told her I wanted it. It felt good because I thought I had the best shirt in the world. I was happy that I was getting a shirt that was really good. When I came back home from San Francisco, I looked into the car and searched for the bag that had the shirt. When I found the bag, I brought them into my room. I took the shirt out and laid it on the floor. When I looked at it, it felt different. It just looked like a normal shirt that I would see from my closet. I was discouraged.
When we go to the mall, we always fall for the store’s trick. Everything in the store looks good and nice. However, when people bring the clothes back to their home, it does not look the same as before. We think that we got the same shirt but we get the different feeling. The clothing stores always have a good lighting effect on the shirt. Even the normal shirts look good in the stores. Also the workers are pushing you to buy them. They always say, “It looks good on you”. However, the truth is that they say that to all the customers to make them buy the shirt. We go through the clothing stores all the time, but we always fall for the trick that they have for us. We should always give a second thought on buying clothes.
